An all-new Nissan Pathfinder was introduced in 2013, when it ditched its body-on-frame chassis and gained some length to compete in the hotly-contested midsize crossover segment. In 2018 it got a facelift, along with engine and interior upgrades. The 7-seater Pathfinder is powered by a 3.5-litre V6, mated to a CVT and a choice of either front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive in all trim levels. The hybrid model is powered by a 4-cylinder 2.5-litre supercharged engine combined with an electric motor. The all-wheel-drive model gets a selector for choosing 2WD, 4WD or Auto. The base Pathfinder S comes standard with a second-row 60/40-split fold-flat bench seat, a third-row 50/50-split fold-flat reclining bench seat, LED running lights, 18-inch alloys, tri-zone automatic a/c, keyless entry with push-button ignition, power windows, CD/MP3/DVD/HDD audio system with 8-inch screen and 6 speakers, USB/AUX ports, Bluetooth phone, auto headlights, 6 airbags, stability control, tyre-pressure monitor and apparently a standard power liftgate in some markets. The Pathfinder SV adds power-adjustable front seats, rear camera, 20-inch alloy wheels, remote starter, auxiliary audio/video input jack, power windows with front one-touch auto-up/down, front fog lamps, chrome body side trim, welcome lighting, stainless-steel kick plates, speed-sensitive intermittent wipers, illuminated sun-visor mirrors, sunroof, wood-tone trim, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, leather seats, and a tow hitch receiver with 7-pin trailer tow wiring harness on the rear bumper. The top-spec Pathfinder SL further adds a key-linked memory seat and other settings for individual drivers, side-curtain airbags front and rear, digital compass, 9GB hard drive, 8-inch VGA colour monitor with navigation, Bose audio system with 13 speakers, climate-controlled front seats, and a power-tilt/telescoping steering column. An around-view four-camera parking aid is optional, as is a rear DVD entertainment system with 2 screens. Available accessories include roof rail bars, rear-installing tent and more. For 2019, a "Midnight Edition" was launched. It is available only on the mid-option SV and features all the chrome bits blacked out, a front splitter and black rims.
