Model Overview
An all-new Cadillac Escalade was revealed as a new model for 2015. The front fascia gets the new corporate design with the LED headlights. The engine under the hood will be the same 6.2-litre V8 engine, but tweaked to produce slightly more power than the previous model. Power is delivered through an 8-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel-drive is standard, and low-range gearing is finally available. There will also be an extended version, based on the Chevrolet Suburban. Standard features include new electric power steering, power windows, electric mirrors, leather seats, automatic dual-zone A/C, power-adjustable pedals, Bluetooth, heated and ventilated seats, and cylinder deactivation. Standard alloy-wheel size is 20-inch, with 22-inch alloys as optional. The interior features a new centre console, which includes their CUE touchscreen interface. The six or seven seats configuration is still available on the new Escalade, with the rear seats having the ability to fold completely flat. Magnetic Ride Control has been added as well to improve ride quality. Safety features include front and side airbags, ABS and stability control. A Driver Awareness package includes Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning System, and the patented Safety Alert Seat, which offers directional vibrations to alert the driver about potential crash threats. A Driver Assist package adds Full Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control, Front and Rear Automatic Braking and Automatic Safety Belt Tightening. Additionally, Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Change Alert are standard on higher models.
