Model Overview
The Mitsubishi Lancer EX, first introduced in 2008, got some minor trim changes for 2010. From 2013 onwards, it comes with a choice of two four-cylinder engines, namely a new 1.6-litre and a carryover 2.0-litre. The smaller engine gets a 4-speed automatic and the larger one gets a CVT auto transmission. Offering a choice of either engine, features in the most basic GLX model includes power steering, locally-installed CD/MP3 player with 4 speakers, manual a/c, keyless entry, 16-inch steel wheels with covers, power windows and even colour-coded bumpers, but only a driver's airbag. The mid-range GLS model can only be had with the larger engine, and includes a sporting body kit, rear spoiler, leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, smart key with starter button, sunroof, 6-speaker stereo with USB port, rear camera and faux-wood panelling. The top GT model adds adaptive headlights which turn with the steering wheel, fog lamps, Rockford Fosgate premium CD audio system with six-CD changer and 9 speakers, "sport-type" front seats, rear split seats with centre armrest, colour-keyed power mirrors, ABS brakes with EBD and Brake Assist, 18-inch alloy wheels and just two front airbags.
