The American-built Sequoia is Toyota's largest ever passenger vehicle. Its claim to fame is space, with three rows of adult seating and impressive cargo volume. In the GCC, this big SUV will be promoted as a family hauler rather than an offroader, considering the initial availability of a rear-wheel-drive variant. The four-wheel-drive model with low-range gearing came in 2010. The second row can either seat two or three, depending on the setup chosen. It is powered by a 5.7-litre V8, mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox. It may be based on the Tundra pickup-truck platform, but it comes standard with four-wheel independent suspension, stability control, CD/MP3 stereo, automatic three-zone a/c, stability control, front airbags, and side-curtain airbags. The three trim levels are named SR5, Limited and Platinum.
