The Toyota Corolla is all-new for 2014, with completely-redone styling and an extended wheelbase for more cabin space. It has remained the same for the 2018 model year. Engine offerings include a 1.6-litre and a new 2.0-litre, both 4-cylinder "VVT-i" units mated to 4-speed automatics, although a base model with a 6-speed manual is available in some GCC markets. The front-wheel-drive platform still rides on independent front and torsion-beam rear suspension. The five-seater is available in various trim levels. In Saudi Arabia, there is a 1.6 XLi model with a manual or automatic gearbox, 15-inch steel wheels with hubcaps, black front grille, power windows and mirrors, keyless entry and a 4-speaker CD/MP3/USB/AUX stereo. Moving up to the 1.6 GLi adds fog lamps, 16-inch alloys, rear parking sensors, chrome grille, trunk liner, better upholstery with leather steering wheel, split-folding rear seats, 6-speaker touchscreen stereo with Bluetooth, smart keyless entry with starter button and several other smaller convenience features. The 2.0 GLi adds LED headlights with LED running lamps, sunroof, rear manual curtains, auto a/c and cruise control. In the UAE, there are 5 trim levels, starting with an uber-basic 1.6 S model that includes a standard automatic gearbox, 15-inch steelies, 4-speaker CD/MP3/USB/AUX stereo, power mirrors and a black grille. The next-level 1.6 SE version adds power windows, keyless entry and body-colour door handles. The 1.6 SE+ adds better upholstery with leather steering wheel, chrome grille, split-folding rear seats, LED running lamps, smart keyless entry and start, LCD info display, a better 6-speaker stereo and a few other extra bits. Moving on to the larger engine, the 2.0 SE has all the features of the 1.6 SE, but additionally gets 15-inch alloys and 6 speakers for the basic stereo. The 2.0 SE+ model gets all the features of the 1.6 SE+ model. And the 2.0 Limited gets a sunroof, auto-levelling projector headlights and cruise control. Other markets may get slightly different trim levels. All models get standard dual front airbags, ABS with brake assist and EBD, and an alarm immobiliser.
